Billiegee

Waldgeist x Donau

Billiegee has always had something about her. A daughter of Waldgeist, she was purchased as a yearling for a modest fee, but she’s gone on to write a remarkable story of progress, promise, and perseverance. From her very first run, it was clear we had a filly with real talent—making a late charge from the back of the field at Kempton as a two-year-old, she flew home over seven furlongs and was only just denied in the final strides. It was an eye-catching debut and a sign of things to come.

She wasted no time confirming that promise. On her second start, stepped up to a mile at Wolverhampton, she struck gold—becoming the first ever winning daughter of Waldgeist. That moment of history gave her connections immense pride and set the tone for what would be a fruitful three-year-old campaign. She added two more wins to her CV, first at Doncaster, and then again at Newbury, showing a great attitude and adaptability with each run.

Now a four-year-old, Billiegee made a pleasing seasonal reappearance, finishing second on her return. However, her momentum was temporarily halted due to a sinus issue, which has since been fully resolved. She’s now back in training and steadily building back toward race fitness. Despite the setback, her attitude and constitution remain strong—true to the tough nature she’s shown throughout her career.

Currently rated in the high 70s, there’s a strong belief among her team that Billiegee has more to give. Her best performances suggest she’s not yet reached her ceiling, and with her health issues behind her, the second half of the season offers real opportunity. With her proven track record, sharp turn of foot, and admirable consistency, Billiegee remains one to be excited about—and one to follow closely in the months ahead.
