Hasmonean Racing are delighted to welcome this handsome Starman × Shobobb colt into our team. He is an athletic, forward, good-minded youngster who has already passed a clean vetting and looks exactly the type to give his owners plenty to look forward to as a two-year-old. From the moment he walked out of the stable he made an impression: a fluent, swinging stride, a strong frame, and the kind of purposeful movement you love to see in a horse with early potential. He carries himself with balance and presence, and his physique suggests both strength and natural speed.

His sire, Starman, has been one of the great stories of 2025. In his first season with runners he has exploded onto the scene with high-class performers across the board, including the Group 1 winning juvenile Venetian Sun, the Group 2 winner Green Sense, and a host of Group 3 winners like North Coast and Lady Iman. Starman’s progeny have shown professionalism, pace, and a willingness to learn — the hallmarks of young horses who come to hand quickly. His exceptional season has elevated him to one of the most talked-about young sires in Europe, and it is no surprise his fee has risen so dramatically for next year.

The dam side adds further depth. Shobobb has already produced several winners, but none more notable than Gifted Master, a hugely popular and tough sprinter who won 12 races, including the G3 Pavilion Stakes at Ascot, the G3 Autumn Stakes at Newmarket and placed 2nd in the Group 2 Joel Stakes, he competed with distinction at Group level throughout his career. Our colt shows some of those same qualities — that purposeful walk, that strong shoulder and hindquarter, and a no-nonsense attitude that suggests he will enjoy his work and progress steadily through the spring and summer of his two-year-old year. It is a pedigree full of speed, heart, and durability, and it gives us confidence that this colt will thrive once he begins training. He will join the Newmarket yard of James Ferguson.
