Sea The Stars x Lamorlaye

We are excited to announce the acquisition of our impeccably bred Sea The Stars Colt. He is out of an unraced Danhill Dancer mare who has so far failed to miss having produced five winners from five runners, three of those gaining black type.

Our Colt is undoubtably the most striking of her progeny to date given the status of his sire. As we all know Sea The Stars needs no introduction given his outstanding record on the track and continual prominence amongst the best sires of the current era. This purchase gives us a real chance of producing something special. He is an imposing individual with plenty of scope to improve with age and given the right time and care under James Ferguson’s stewardship. We are very excited what the future may hold. He was at the top of our list throughout the day and we were surprised, but nonetheless delighted when the hammer went down at only 18,000 guineas. We feel we have potentially struck gold and given the strength of her page and physical composition we look forward to a very exciting future.

Talbah (Style Vendome), winner on debut and placed 3rd in a Group 3 from just four runs.

Wahdan (Siyouni), placed 3rd in a Group 2.

This colt once cost 280,000 as a yearling and comes recommended to us by Juddmonte. Before the sale he was in full training at their farm in Ireland. They feel that as he is a big and powerful horse, he needs gelding which will help bring him into a nice racing weight. He has a lovely walk, a great presence about him and a loving temperament. Our bloodstock agent Billy Jackson-Stops was very keen on him and utilised his contacts to find out everything about him.

We feel like he is the perfect horse for James Ferguson. James excels with these staying types and has previously trained other Sea The Stars progeny such as Wonder Legend, Kildare Legend and Deauville Legend.

This Colt can be named with a 25% purchase and your name added in the program/title.

The purchase price includes the purchase of the horse, vetting/scope at the sales, bloodstock agent commission, the required gelding operation and the month of May training fees.
