Palace Pier has all the attributes to be a champion stallion. He was a world champion miler who beat Pinatubo in the G1 St James’s Palace in his Stakes debut at three. Five G1 wins in all, ran Baaeed to a neck conceding weight, and rated Kingman’s peerless best. The first back-to-back hero of the Marois in decades, clocking a faster winning time than Kingman, Dubawi, and golden greats Miesque and Dubai Millennium.

The Dam SUNSEMPERCHI is by Montjeu who is a excellent damsire despite not always been sent to the top stallions. She has a excellent record as a dam producing 8 winners from 8 runners, 4 of which have won stakes races. The Kingman x Montjeu bloodlines are proven. With Palace Pier being by Kingman, this makes our colt a 3/4 part brother to the 110 rated MASHHOOR.

The plan

He is in full training with Tom Clover in Newmarket. Tom has had a superb year operating at 16% strike rate and has excelled with his two year olds. Tom was particularly keen on this colt and our Bloodstock agent Billy Jackson-Stops highly recommends him.

We see him as the perfect horse to target a Juddemonte supported restricted band A maiden that offers additional prize money of £30,000. With his additional book one bonus he could potentially win £40,000 for winning a maiden.

He is our first purchase from Book one as we strive to improve the quality at Hasmonean Racing and try to bring regular stakes races to our owners.
