Bay Of Dreams

New Bay x Praden

We are delighted to announce the newest addition to the Hasmonean Racing family. Our New Bay filly out of Praden was purchased at Newmarket Tattersalls Book 2.

She was on our shortlist from the very beginning, but in all honesty we thought she would have been out of our price range given her impressive page and sound conformation.

Upon notification by our agent she had not met her reserve and may have slipped through the proverbial net, we quickly regathered alongside James Ferguson and Billy Jackson-Stops. Both trainer and agent were in agreement this filly needed closer examination.

She was assessed by our entrusted team and it was decided that we should attempt a private sale. We were aware of the recent success of her full brother Forceful Speed, trained by George Boughey, who we have heard on good authority will likely be a black type performer and decided to take our chance.

After successfully negotiating a fee of 25,000 guineas plus fees, the last obstacle would be the vet. We are thrilled to announce she passed the veterinary checks with flying colours and can’t wait to see her in the black and yellow of Hasmonean Racing.

Should you be interested in getting involved and being part of her story, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.

The initial purchase cost includes the purchase price of the horse, veterinary costs, applicable agent fees, transportation to the trainer, the breaking in of the horse and pre-training, plus training fee’s up to the month that the monthly payment begins (August 1st).

Update 8th November.

The filly is excelling at Mike Murphys pre training stable and is now being ridden out. She has filled out nicely since the sale. Her page has also improved with her full brother Forceful Speed rated 90 and her half brother Nazron winning a 5F maiden by 4 lengths.

She’s got a great temperament which is always a major plus with a filly. She’s carries herself so nicely and she’s the right frame to make a good two year old.”  Mike Murphy

Update 1st December

The New Bay filly has settled in well. She is hacking away nicely and will be cantering upsides from next week onwards. She is a very good ride and I could not be more pleased in the condition she came into the yard. Michael Murphy has done a very good job breaking her in. So far so good. Weight 423.

Update 8th February

“Hasmonean Racing’s New Bay x Praden is a lovely filly. I am really happy with her. She is forward enough but also looks like she will grow into a fine big 3yo. She is doing a bit of light speed work and she is finding it very easy. I am looking forward to the season ahead”.

Update 5th April

Bay Of Dreams continues to impress. She’s moving well and taking her work very easy. She is on target to make her racecourse debut towards the middle of May and we think we have a nice filly on our hands.

Update 10th July.

Bay Of Dreams has been building up ahead of her debut. Her full brother Forceful Speed recently won over 12F. We expect this filly to start at 6F before stepping up in trip as she matures.

Update 22nd July

Bay Of Dreams all be making her debut by the end of the month. She has options at Windsor, Wolverhampton and Leicester.

Bay of Dreams work

Update 2nd September

Bay Of Dreams ran a encouraging debut over 6F at Leicester. She was very sharp out of the gates, ran a round a little acting green, tried all the way to the line, finishing 3rd. She will improve for further and will race over 7F in the next couple of weeks.
